Boys Moving Forward develops customized group tutoring programs designed to address the specific needs of public schools, independent schools, and community-based organizations. Whether your school needs a drop-in tutoring program, a small-group program targeted at supporting specific students, or a structured test preparation program, we can build a program that meets your needs and budget.

BMF is a successful academic intervention program.   We assess the skills of your students in Math and English and provide them with activities and instruction tailored towards their individual needs. With our recommended maximum 5:1 student to tutor ratio, BMF provides focused small group instruction to directly address your students' skill gaps and give them the attention that they might not always receive during the regular school day.   All assessment testing, learning plans, and lessons center on achieving mastery of California content standards.

Additionally, BMF is more than a tutoring program: we integrate the social and emotional skill-building necessary for boys to be successful in the classroom.   We understand the social issues that boys face in school, and integrate curricula and group activities that build conflict resolution, impulse control, personal responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and self-esteem in each of our boys.   Boys leave our program not only doing better academically, but also being better equipped to succeed in life.
